WELCOME
The Audio-Visual Library is an arm of the Public Broadcasting Corporation of Jamaica's Programmes Department. Our mandate is to conserve and promote the longevity of PBCJ's audiovisual content, thus preserving Jamaica's culture and audiovisual heritage.
PBCJ’s Audio-Visual Library invites you to view the digital exhibition '100 years of Jamaica’s Audiovisual History,' mounted to commemorate World Audiovisual Heritage Day (October 27) and to focus attention on Jamaica’s rich audiovisual legacy. This site houses Jamaica’s first broadcast museum!

Accessibility Commitment and Enhancements
We are committed to making this website accessible to everyone. In line with Jamaica’s Disabilities Act of 2014 and international standards (WCAG 2.1 AA), we are working to enhance accessibility features such as closed captioning, high contrast text, text alternatives for images and videos, keyboard navigation, transcription, and Sign Language Interpretation.
Our goal is to create an inclusive digital environment where all users, regardless of their abilities, can access and benefit from our content. We appreciate your patience as we complete these enhancements and welcome any feedback to improve accessibility further.
Thank you for visiting the PBCJ’s AV Library.
